depends on what you want to go into. but i went to their site seems okay. Sorry I'm from Michigan and I don't know anyone that goes theres.

It's not bad. I'd consider it around a tier 2/3 university - nothing wrong with it, academically solid. Decent reputation.

Are you from that area of NY? I'd consider Hofstra stronger than Adelphi or Long Island University, but less strong than Fordham or Stony Brook.

It's got a very pretty campus. I was quite impressed. The town around the college is kind of bleh, though.
