  1. Simply NO...green covered it... The B (not D) motor and trans are bolted together and the frames have no seat post tube as the older styles have. You need the trans for EVO softail... they are seperate from the motor...many many many from Korean knock offs with five year warranties to JIMS and Baker. If you have the bucks and are going to do some 4 lane flying I reccommend the Baker DD6 direct drive six speed. Otherwise any 5 speed will do... some names... prowler, ultima, rivera/primo, accessories unltd(builders only), M/C Advantages... all also have cheaper six speeds.

... The web site mentioned has an A motor... not a B... the A from S&S had to have new cases to beat a law suit from HD... these cases require different oil lines and on some models require NEW TRANS TOP. Get your facts straight guys. There is NO aftermarket B motor.

  2. Put a baker on it and be satisfied.

  3. Baker if you need it they have it

  4. No it's not. The S&S engine cases are designed under the HD Evolution paradigm where the trans and engine are separate entities. HD Twin Cam engine cases are designed to mate directly with the trans. HD has aggressively patented all Twin Cam parts (which they didn't do with the Evolution motor), so there are very few Twin Cam-specific aftermarket engine parts. If there is a company making an adapter out there, I've never seen it and I'm sure HD would sue such a company into the dust.

Response to indian john: My answer to Ray is based on the fact that if he already had an S&S Twin Cam case, he wouldn't be asking this question at all. I stand by everything I've said. I know of no adapter that allows an Evolution-style case to mate with a TC trans. And those motors you're talking about are in violation of HD patents and HD has initiated massive lawsuits against S&S because of them. The long harmonious relationship between HD and S&S is over. I think it sucks, but it's reality.
