IS IT true that scientist esfound water or ice in Mars?

It is true that water (in the form of ice) was found on Mars, but they are not counting it as a true discovery because it was in a plastic bag. They think it was left behind by the Russians.

We have known there was water on Mars for a while at the polar regions. Yahoo just blew up the inevitable confirmation of water ice out of proportion when it came. Really, its yesterday's news, but it has been completely confirmed now even though we knew it was at the polar ice caps.

The on board lab on the Mars rover is capable of identifying water, and it was confirmed that the sample picked up was, in fact, water. This water is frozen, of course, because the average temperature on mars is 150 degrees below 0 on the Celsius scale.

Yes it is true. In fact yesterday it was announced that the Phoenix Lander dug up some ice and confirmed it was water ice.

eri is half wrong, they didnt confirmed just after landing, it was just a hypothesis and as every scientific experiment we do hypothesis and proove it thatz the way science works and we dont believe anything until nasa confirms it officially,......But in here its confirmed now.So I would say to you my dear "YES we did find".
