is malta dear to eat out or to buy food

going there on the 19th of july for 7 days

don't tell me to google it or go on trip advisor done that and its

no good the info i was given

  1. i think it depends on what your idea of dear is.

    i went to gozo (neighbouring island) and found the prices very reasonable, even cheap.  but then again i live in london, and am used to paying through the nose for things.

    i think the euro exchange rate is making things seem more expensive though.

    the Rough Guides usually have restaurant reviews that include prices as well, so they may be more useful than tripadvisor.


  2. Depends on what you want to eat... for a meal consisting of a pizza/pasta and a bottle of wine for 2 pax, it will cost you around EUR25. If you opt for fish or meat, it will more expensive. There are also many fast food kiosks and restaurants where the food is even cheaper. As everywhere, touristic areas are more expensive than the villages.

  3. It is no more expensive than other European countries, and slightly cheaper than UK.

    You can eat out for about the same money as Spain/Greece/Italy
