  1. Anytime a cat is slobbering and isn't acting normal, you should get it to the vet immediately.  You can NOT diagnose a problem on the internet - it take a licensed veterinarian.  Please call your vet as soon as you read this and get her there immediately.

  2. it DOES sound like poisoning...i dont know what you read - but it really sounds like some form of poisoning - have you recently applied any flea product?  Is there antifreeze in your garage or on the driveway?  if she ate a rat - how do you know the rat hadn't ingested a small amount of rat poison?

    take her to the vet....please.

  3. It may be a mouth infection. These can be very dangerous because the infection can spread into the kidneys, which can be life-threatening. Cats are pretty tolerant of mouth pain, but it can get to the point where they will stop eating because it hurts too much.

Whatever the cause, TAKE HER TO THE VET NOW!  Why are you waiting? There's obviously something wrong and she needs to be taken care of.

  4. Take her to the vet. The vet would be more able to diagnose the illness and give medicine faster than you or anyone on the internet could.

  5. Any time your cat doesn't want to eat or drink, it is a cause for concern. I can't tell you what is wrong with her because I'm not a vet. And that is exactly who you should be asking, her vet. Take her as soon as possible!

  6. You need to consult a vet as soon as possible, she may have a severe respiratory infection, or a oral infection, stormatitious is an infection where the jaw hinges, gingivitis is an infection of the gums, both can cause lack of appetite, is the saliva in the form of a white puss or is it clear, I advise you to act now.

  7. Sounds like feline distemper to me. Take your cat to the vet now!

  8. All I can say it when in doubt take the pet to the vet. This saliva issue does not sound normal at all and even though it might not be serious right now it could be a starting symptom of something bigger.
