Nottingham, formally known as Snottingham (strange, but true) is as good or bad as any other city in the country.  Depends on which part of Nottingham you want to live in.  Everywhere has it's 'down' areas.  Nottingham is good for the fact that it is Central England, has Goose Fair and is well known for Robin Hood and Nottingham Castle.  There is a wide variety of shops in the city centre including the famous Victoria Centre and Broadmarsh.  Perhaps you should take time to visit!

I love nottingham...my boyfriend recently moved up there to start uni so have been spending more time up there. I love the place so much i am buying a flat up there next year. The prices are reasonable and there are some lovely properties available for under 100,000.

In response to all the rumours etc about it being dangerous...isnt every city??I live in a small country town and see more brawling outside the pubs there. The night life is great and the town centre is lovely and brilliant for shopping. Hope that helps!

It's pretty cheap, but it is one of the most dangerous city's in the UK (That's a fact). One of my best friends lives there - and yes, it is great for shopping, and nightlife etc, and I really like to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there.
