What are the possible scenarios? Where does Russia come into ply with all of this? Is Israel in danger? Is the U.S. in direct danger?

I just get an errie feeling about Iran, because Tehran seems to be bold with confidence for such a small country...it makes me think he has something up his sleeve....something deadly and real.

  1. The resignation of the Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert, a proponent of negotiations and concessions, has become another reason to raise the subject of imminent war between Israel and Iran. Israel feels confident because USA will provide a missile defense system.

  2. I don't  think Iran's issue is an issue  to the west just like Russia, China, India, Paskistan, Israel, .... who all have nuclear weapons. We have lived through the cold war, we should also be able to co-exist with Iran's nuclear weapon.

  3. I believe Iran is a real threat, I was leary at first or atleast a year ago, but what has been issued in all of the papers and online and from local Iranian newspapers, I am very concerned right now. I do not know where you live, but I live in the USA and the term silence is deadly comes to mind when I do not see a response from our country. I believe Iran is up to something with the two faced remarks Irans President has stated. You do need to be concerned of Russia, Russia has been a great alie up until recent, I believe they are walking the fence, If we attack Iran or Israel attacks Iran, I am not sure what Russia will do, that alone is scarry. Israel I believe is in less danger right now, because the focus is beyond Israel now, Iran wants to be a superpower and dominate the world. I hope that all of our allies are involved with this situation and can come up with a stategic move to eliminate this threat, either diplomatically or with force. I am tired of being scared and worried and tired of seeing fuel prices rise because of this stupid threat. I hope all the World will prevail with peace and harmony to get through this economic situation and tyrany.

  4. Ok here is a short history: Iran doesnt have any diplomatic relationships with either Israel or US since the Islamic revolution in 1979. Iran does not even recognize Isreal as a state, becaue the Iranian government is an Islamic government that beleives Israel has occupied the Palestinian's (another muslem nation) land. Iran is the only shia muslem country, and helps shia's hezbollah group in Lebonan by giving them the weapons to fight Israel. Therefore Iranin Islamic government will do anything to destroy Israel, and thats the major reason for their development of nuclear weapon (whether they have the weapons or not is another story). US is not in direct danger in this becasue Iran was not involved in 91 attacks, but protecting Israel against Iran is in US' interest. Russia is another of those countries that has been friends with Iran and many are saying together with China will help Iran if there is a an attack.

  5. Hey unitedcats...You say Israel has the #4 largest army in the world.....ummm.... are you crazy? They are 31 on my list.....here are the top 5....China, USA,India, Russia,North Korea......also, Iran is #8 on the list. Iran sells oil to China and Russia, america will NEVER invade Iran. It would be economic suicide.

  6. Russia has said that an attack on Iran is an attack on them as well.  Iran and Russia are in bed with each other.  Ditto China.

An attack on Iran would be a "disaster":

The USA is not in danger because any missiles that Iran has are incapable of reaching the American mainland.

Israel will only be in danger if they strike first.

Maybe the OP needs to spend less time watching the Mainstream Media, which is actually OWNED by the same military industrial complex which is championing for military action.

Read this Israeli article.  By the Israelis' own admission, Iran is not a threat to Israel.

The American and British elite have been interfering with Iran's affairs for many, many years.

  7. I agree with Heavenly, but our the United States Government needs to take action and let us Americans know what is going on, our Congress has delayed the energy situation and left us Americans in the wing for a month, I am done with being second best, I am paying taxes to allow them to break for a month, I work my fingers to the bone to support my family and to support my government. All of us Americans need to stand up!

  8. Well for one thing, Iran is not a small country. They are a large populous country that has been around for 3000 years.

No, Israel is not in danger. Israel has the world's fourth largest army, the largest army in the Middle east, and is one of the world's great military powers with hundreds of nuclear weapons, protected by America's arsenal of thousands of nuclear weapons. Iran has no nuclear weapons, no way to get them to Israel if they did, no reason to attack Israel, and excellent reasons NOT to attack Israel.

Why shouldn't they be confident? They are doing nothing illegal (unlike Israel's clandestine nuclear program,) they are perfectly capable of defending themselves, and they have plenty of support from the world community. Russia has stated that an attack on Iran will be considered an attack on Russia, and the non aligned states (that's 115 nations) have just come out with a statement strongly supporting Iran and condemning the USA blatantly manipulating the UN and the IAEC to put pressure on Iran.

All you ever here in the western "news" is Ahmadinejad's single (mistranslated) line in a speech where he condemned the Israeli government, as if that one line was Iran's entire foreign policy. Plus Ahmadinejad is an elected official with limited powers, not a dictator, and he's unlikely to be re-elected. And Iran hasn't attacked another nation since at least the 1800s, a claim neither Israel or the USA can make.

Now if Israel or USA attacks Iran, God only knows what will happen, but that makes Israel and the USA the threat, not Iran
