  1. A small cockroach was pulled out of a patients ear after the patient complained about "buzzing" in his ear canal in Australia.


  2. First off any bug that is small enough to fit in your ear opening can get in there. Working in the ER, I have seen everything from a mosquito to a roach. Once inside because the ear canal is warm and moist it is a happy place for the bug but not for the person. It is extremely painful and if the bug gets to close to the ear drum will have to be surgically removed. No the bug cannot get to your brain due to the ear drum being in the way. Hope this helps!
