  1. if you create a page, you can place a transparent image over your pictures so people can't right click, watermark is a must and make it anoying :))

  2. A watermark is the right solution. But you may sell pictures on microstock agencies instead of social networks: they will watermark your pictures for you automatically; I put a few sample pictures on myspace and facebook for free, and then put a link to my portfolio there;

    I've tried a few (see list here: http://postpop.drivehq.com/stockphoto/st... and now I'm selling mainly on ShutterStock since sales are great.

    You can register from here: http://submit.shutterstock.com/?ref=9768...

    you must pass an initial test after registration, but it's really worth the effort since it sells quite more than all the other sites including Fotolia;

    some suggestions to pass your initial test on shutterstock:

    - choose your 10 best pictures carefully; at least 7 of 10 must be accepted;

    - inspect them at 100%: there should be no noise or other defects; edit your pictures to remove defects;

    - reduce your initial pictures at about 2400x1800 pixels (since they require at least 4 Megapixels, 2400x1800 is 4320000 which is enough); by reducing pictures noise and other defects are reduced as well;

    - always save .jpg at highest quality/lowest compression when editing; for your next shots, set your camera at higher resolution / lowest compression / best quality;

    - choose a variety of subjects for your initial 10 pictures;

    good luck! after you pass the initial test, it's not so difficult to get your next pictures accepted; and sales are very good

  3. You could watermark (a semi transparent signature) them before you upload them. Just create a basic symbol for yourself and use a software like Photoshop or Gimp to put the watermark on.
