A guy said if I go to this site his team will give me a visa for free. It was in a reply to some questions I had about going to vietnam In february.

What do you think?

Is there any harm in sending passport details to someone?

  1. don't send anything because it may be some thing badd;y

  2. If it smells rotten....

I didn't have the time to have a visa processed in Bangkok, so I too was forced to arrange it online.  This website did it for me, it ends up costing a bit more but it worked out fine.  And yes I had to send passport details to them.

Sidenote: Even to book with a huge tourism company in Vietnam (Handspan) I had to provide credit card full info and passport to save a spot.

  3. Don't send any personal information to anyone you don't know. If it's too good to be true, it probably is.  I wouldn't do it if I were you.

I would question it since no such thing is a free lunch.

Check with Vietnam embassy before doing anything. If you don't have a legit visa, you may not be able to come to Vietnam.

  4. nothing is free....u should know tat...

  5. Probably bogus, Vietam issues three typoes of Visas, Tourist, Business, ( you must be invited) , and diplomatic.

One month single entry visa aorund 60.00 USd 6 month busness 125.00.

Please be careful, as these visas are placed directly into yoru passport, and you must give all personal information to recieve it.

I have had over 13 visas issued at the Vietnam Consulate general. I know. You may go to teh embassy webiste and send your passport directly to them for stamping.

I do however believe that you will enjoy your visit there. It is truly a beautiful country and I have dedicated my business to building it.

    Good luck to you!

  6. you get what you pay for .. would you work for free? everybody has a hook.. trust no one... a ligitamate visa is all of $60.. dont take chances to save pocket money..

  7. Sounds like a scam to me. Who do you think is going to pay for the required fees ? Santa ? Yes, there will be some harm, to you ! They could make a fake passport with your info. NEVER send any personal info to someone you don't know.

  8. Given that the Vietnamese embassy issues the visas, and they charge US citizens (I don't know your nationality) $100, I would question the legitimacy of the site.

If you are Viet kieu, maybe the embassy will issue you a free visa - but check with the embassy.

  9. Think I would think twice before I sent any info to that company.  Check with a Vietnamese travel agency in your country or get in touch with the Vietnamese Embassy for your Visa.  Cheers C
