IS THIS NORMAL? PLEASE ANSWER...?

I just came back from another check up @ my doctor. Im currently 19 weeks pregnant. My doctor was trying to find the heartbeat and today it was below my belly. Is that normal for tha fetus to be low like that? Im a little worried that shes not above where me belly button is but her heartbeat was below my belly..SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY!

At 19 weeks the top of your uterus is just above your belly button, which means the baby will reside somewhere between your belly button and your pelvis. Sounds like you are right on track.

Im sure if there was something wrong with baby being so low your doctor/midwife would have said...

The top of your uterus now reaches your belly button and will grow about a centimetre per week. The fetus measures around 6 inches/ 15 centimetres long from crown to rump and weighs about 9 ounces/ 240 grams.

It's perfectly normal.  My baby was always positioned low and he is now 2 months old.  Your baby will be fine too!!  Congrats on you pregnancy and try to relax and enjoy it.  I know it can be hard.  We all worry about our little ones right from the start.  Welcome to motherhood.

That sounds normal, and if your doctor was not concerned then I wouldn't worry to much.

If you are still worried, don't be afraid to ask your doctor. Thats part of what they are there for.

lol its where they ahve heard my babys the hole time. its the best place apartantly. and depending how baby is laying they cant get in from where the feet r. ur fine. and if they thought that was abnormal they would have told u. next time ask them so that u dont stress about it. not good for you! good luck

Hey!  It all depends on how the baby is positioned.  I just had my first ultrasound at 19 weeks and the baby was lying head down in my uterus.  The feet came up above my belly button, but everything else was below, including the heart (and therefore heartbeat).  This is totally normal!  Don't worry at all!

I'm 28 weeks and they always listen for the heartbeat that low, its totally normal.

Your uterus is normally even with your belly button at 20 weeks, so its normal for it to be a little lower right now.

Yes it's normal. That's where my doctors heard my heart beat the whole time.

the baby starts way down low so yeah I would say it is. I am 24 wks 4 days and my baby is so low I cant even sit down. She was soooo low that the dr had me go to an ultrasound early on to make sure everything was ok. I am sure she is fine. My baby is a lot bigger and still sitting down low. My son was the same way so I am sure your good to go!
