IS THIS OKAY? Beardie Question.

Question

We have a little infestation of Ants in our house... I already am doing everything I can to keep them out of my room... but will it hurt my Bearded dragon if he ACCIDENTALLY ate an ant? He hasn't I've been sure of that... I just wanted to make sure.

Its okay as long as they you dont have poison ant traps outside or inside your house if you have poison it might hurt him but if you dont,  one ant wont hurt him but large amounts might because of pesticides.

I just answered another question about a snake which died after bug spray had been used in the house.

Make sure if spray poisons are used that you place a towel over your beardie's cage top , as well as keeping the door to the room where she is closed, and a towel along the bottom of the door, to keep fumes out until the product dries completely.

Remember - anywhere you can smell the product?  It IS in there.

Reptiles absorb through their skin, as well minute particles settling into their water sources being a possible problem.

It's always much safer to remove a pet from a residence while it's being treated.

My bearded dragon used to eat quite a few ants that were in my room and it had no affect on her. She seemed to like them. Just make sure there is no ant poison around. :)
