After announcing Joe Biden as his VP he actually lost ground. Now with the small bounce from his speech in front of 80,000 Obama got the lowest bounce since 1964.

SO all this excitement over Obama seems to be a media creation since the actual facts show him lagging behind even Jimmy Carter at important points in a campaign.

Does this really highlight how the media has lost touch with reality and that Americans actually have concern with him as a candidate?

  1. Absolutely.  The media doesn't ask the tough questions about Obama.  Like the one about his birth certificate or his relationship with a terrorist.

  2. YES! NBC, CNN, ARE PRO OBAMA! WATCH FOX! FAIR AND BALANCED!

  3. Not at all.  There are many flaws in your argument, and their are much more variables at work here.  The Republicans did a good job swarming all over the media last week to try and hype bump expectations whilst squelching them at the same time by attacking him.  Also, it will be hard for him to break through to those with latent racism in their heads, creating a fairly thick ceiling for him.  Lastly, the Republicans have the best propaganda machine ever built in history, which is a very large influence among the low-information and low-intelligence voters.
