at 15 weeks. So when i went to the doctor at 12 wks the medical asst. asked me if i felt the baby when they checked for the heartbeat and she said that i should be feeling it right about now (maybe bc i know thats early) and the second time i went at 16 weeks the lady was not really friendly and she said no i wouldn't beable to feel the baby right now. So i'm confused but I have felt something go back and forth and poking and a rolling feeling. I'm not sure if thus is the baby but I would like to know what y'all think. Thanks!

  1. You probably are feeling the baby move now. Probably not at 12 weeks, yes that is too early, but it should be feeling like small poking, or bubbles/gas. It's hard to feel at first, because you don't know what to feel for, but as the bay grows, you will know for sure whether what you are feeling now is the baby or not.

  2. Everybody and every pregnancy is different.  Yes, it is your baby you are feeling, nevermind the medical assistant.  I felt the first slight movements at 14 weeks, which according to the dr's was not possible, but I knew it was.

Point is, you know your body best.

  3. Well DUH, what else do you think you're feeling?  Yes it's the baby and you can feel it as early as 12 weeks!  Don't know what else you'd be expecting to feel in there?

  4. I was around 18-20 weeks before i felt my girls.  But, remember it depends on your size.  The smaller you are the more likely you wil be to feel your baby sooner, because they do not have as much room to move around.

  5. For most women, the earliest they feel any movements is 16 weeks (and that's on the early side).  This is called quickening and is very light, fluttering movements.  Some women don't feel anything til closer to 22 weeks.  If you are very thin, you may feel these movements earlier than some other women.  Also, women who are on the second (or later) pregnancy may feel the subtle movements on the earlier side since they are familiar with what they are like.

It would be almost impossible to feel anything at 12 weeks.  The nurse that told you that was incorrect.

  6. Yes, it's possible to feel a little something. It should just feel like butterflies in your stomach to begin with until you get familiar with what you are actually feeling.

  7. the medical asst was wrong,it all depends of the person but you normally start feeling the baby from the 16th week as he is too small before that for you to feel it...to be honest i started to feel mine when i was halfway to my 15th week,it feels like a fluttering or rolling feeling as you say.i am on my 28th week and trust me the kicking gets worse but it is a good sign that your baby is healthy...good luck on your pregnancy!
