IS it okay to talk to guys about personal stuff???

Question

Well,i know its okay to talk to guys if you wanna talk about school and stuff like that....but we werent talking about that.... Okay a few weeks ago me and my muslim guy friend...we were sorta talking about our present crushes...

I don't like him...and he kept wanted to talk to me about it.... then i asked him were we allowed to talk about that stuff...he didn't know...

then he started getting "personal" then i just logged off the computer.....

he asked me if i could tell him any personal stuff...because he was a friend...

so now, i felt like i should've stopped earlier....

pleez help! what should i tell him if he wants to talk to me???

should i just completely avoid him??

its okay to talk to guys about that but like if they are you bffs not if they r just internet budds and so if its out of ur confort zone say i dont want to talk about that it works for mee

yeah why not,but what kind of personal things,if he asks yu sumthin that yu dnt feel comfortable with just be straight up,tell him i aint answerin yur question, just talk to him like yu normaly do nd no yu should not avoid him lol thats too mean,like i said above if yu dnt feel comfortable then dnt answer it but yu guys should still talk if your friends,nd plus hes muslim too

Well, crushes are not promoted in Islam, to start with.

The Qur'an clearly orders both males and females to lower their gazes, and hence, to guard themselves from "crushes". Those crushes will only slow down your activity in life and make you care more about the person on whom you have the crush rather than caring about the more important matters.

As for talking about very private things, it is discouraged and not allowed. Because you think that you have this friend with whom you can talk about anything without eventually having a crush on them. But it is not true. The very friend whom you think will not "like" you as a girl, is either having a crush on you or will probably will.
