  3. it is misspelling.... but dosn't the thingy majigy correct spellings befor ur summit ur answer ???? lolzzzz... oh well .... misspelling is the correct way to this spelling.....

  4. It's "misspelling". You have to break it up into its prefix and the root, "mis" + "spelling".  But if you have it the other way, it wouldn't work - "mi" + "spelling". The prefix would not be complete.

  5. the first one

    otherwise its mis-pelling

  6. Ironically, 'misspelling' is a word that is often misspelled.

The prefix is mis. The root is spell.

    mis + spell = misspell

The same principle works with other words, such as misspent, misstated, unnerving, disservice, etc.

  7. ss

  8. "Misspelling." You have the prefix "mis-" and then the word "spelling." If you had it like "mispelling," it would be "mi-" plus "spelling," and "mi-" doesn't mean anything.

  9. Misspelling. =]

  10. I'm most shocked by the fact that the yahoo spell check did not correct that for you while posting this post.

However, misspelling is the correct spelling.

  11. The correct spelling would be "Misspelling"

  12. Misspelling
