  1. Absolutely tainted!  Passing the pace car after TWO warnings & NO penalty?  Jr's car going 5 laps further on fuel than any other car on the track?  Nascar & fan favorite Jr winning just after Nascar being served with HUGE law suit? Coincidental?  I think not. Tainted without question.

  2. your question is more like your dictating to us. If it makes you feel better to imagine his victory as tainted, then fine!, it's tainted. But he still won. It's tainted in your eyes, but Junior would have won either way. I thought the caution was going to make him lose, since he was losing so many positions on the restarts. It also takes a whole lot more fuel following the pace car and them having to open the throttle under full power to accellerate to race speed. Juniors victory was tainted. Tainted by good luck. Maybe even tainted by angels. I have a feeling they were on their feet cheering Junior on.

  3. To his fans, I doubt it.

To anyone who isn't a fan (commonly known as a hater), maybe.

  4. typical junior hater, uneducated and un informed. the rules for the truck series are different from the cup series. in the truck series, the race must end under green. in the cup series, they make one attempt at a green/white/checker finish, if there is another crash, they finish under caution. glad i could clear that up for you, now dry your eyes and move on with your life

BTW, remember dale makes an excellent point, it pokes holes in 'best answers' usual whining, crying rant. sam hornish was well of the racing surface when he spun too, but NASCAR didn't hesitate to throw  a quick yellow there either, even though that caution almost cost junior the race (it would have if not for juniors brilliant decision to shut the engine off under caution and let the car coast) if NASCAR was trying to 'let junior win' as the crybabies on here have been whining about all day, they would have waited until the white flag to throw the caution so there couldn't have been a green/white/checker finish

  5. So Junior won his first race in two years, you'd figure with all the coverage he is getting today that he were just elected president or actually won a title or something...give me a break, he won A race...under caution...big freakin deal.

  6. Junior had the race won with 2 laps to go, then Hornish spins off the track hitting nothing with no one around and the caution came out immediately.

How does this figure into your grand conspiracy plan?

  7. Mr. negative KNOW IT ALL is on suicide watch. GIVE HIM a thumbs up so he will FEEL BETTER about life. JRs 'win' is tainted.

  8. yes he shouldnt of won

  9. omg let's quit with the conspiracy theories... i didn't see the truck race but my guess is the car spun and was able to get off the track the cup race they still were on the track, they had no choice but to call the caution for the safety of the drivers... junior won fair and square let's get over it, it is a new week and another race is on sunday

  10. If nascar is rigged...don't you think that Nascar would have Jr win alot more than 1 race in almost 2 years.  I don't even read these questions to answer them anymore.  I read them to get a laugh off of adults crying over a Nascar race.  You guys are too much.

  11. I was never a big Earnhardt Sr. fan but he was good for the sport. NASCAR should have busted his and Gordon and the rest who wrecked leading cars rather than pass them at Bristol. But they all have W's and the trophy's and checks to prove it with no * after the win.

As for the tired old saw about Harvick and Martin there was enough still frame of the 2 cars as th wreck was happening and Martin trailed in all of them.

Jr's win was not pretty but it was a win just like the ones in the rain that are half way that NASCAR calls. If you want to talk bad about Theresa I don't think he'll mind or if you wish to bad mouth the win I doubt he'd care much about that either.

  12. I wish Nascar would be consistent in its decision making. One week they throw a caution, the next, they don't. My own personal belief is that on the last lap a caution flag should never be thrown.

  13. I have been a Jr fan for many years now, win or lose I'm still a fan.  Was thrilled he got his win as it was long over-due, and hopefully he can win again.  It appears some of you people complain if he doesn't win and when he does your still complaining.  What is the problem?  There are a lot of good drivers out there but I have never seen so much complaining whether its a win or not., go figure.  I say go # 88 there are people out there who are your true fans.  We all love our own drivers for whatever reasons and we have the right to our opinions of each, but there is no need for such cold rudness.

  14. this is ludicrous. Really. Ask Mark Martin if he thinks Kevin Harvick's Daytona 500 win is tainted. Ask any Clint Bowyer fan if they think Biffle's Kansas win last year was tainted....ask anyone if they think Ryan Newman should have run out of gas instead of winning those races he did "mysteriously" back in 2004 or 5.................a lot of crazy things factor in to these races and there are too many people who would have to be in cahoots for them be fixed....shaddap and watch golf if you are worried about conspiracies.

For the luv of pete, "they" would have made Jr win at Richmond instead of getting wrecked by the loose cannon if that were the way.....here is more whiny Jr haters upset that a good man in an American car make did them in at Michigan, which is known to be a fuel mileage gamble for all.

  15. No, Nascar would have fixed him a win before now if that was the case.  He has run well all season and he won by using his brain and skills. Get over it.  Junior deserves his win.

  16. I'm not a jr fan, but it seems if Nascar wanted to be unfair so Jr could win, they would have found a way by now to get it done.  The stars just aligned yesterday for it to happen. However, if another driver had passed the pace car, I wonder if the penalty or lack of would have been different.

  17. Tainted I think not. If you all recall the race in which Bowyer finished on his top was the last turn on the last lap at the beginning of the start finish line where he slid by upside down keeping his finishing position as well. That was way cool! BTW!

Truck racing has a few differant rules as does Sprint cup and when they threw the caution had very little to do with it as when the yellow falls the cars go back to the last marker before the flag fell. (as it fell if you wish)

Also had they went one more lap under yellow dale would have run out of gas, had they stayed green he would have run out of gas. As it was it ended as it ended and he won. Period. Had he lost in any of these senarios you all would be laughing right now instead of trying to find out reasons to tarnish a well deserved team win.

  18. I suggest you learn the rules and study the facts before putting your opinion up for the world to see.

If you study it, you learn that your opinion is way off base.

I see by the name in your ID who your favorite guy is, and I wouldn't complain about his finish. Kahne's been great lately, but he didn't have a race winner yesterday.

Besides you can cry all you want. Doesn't change anything.

BTW- I am not in Junior Nation, I am a Gordon fan.

    Congrats to Junior Nation.

  19. earlier in the race kenseth had a 4 second lead over second....an empty beer can rolling across the tack being blown out of the way by the air from the cars...and what !...a caution so matt would not run away with the race as he has done before.....but junior passes the pace car and ...somehow wins the politically, discriminating nascar "stock car" race. makes me sick, i'm starting to lose interest in nascar due to the favoritism, the fixed races, the rule changes, and the lack of individual character.

  20. Jr was 3rd in points already before the race.  He didn't need help.  NASCAR threw a caution because there was a wreck in the middle of the pack.  Those cars could have taken out cars behind them.  Its all about driver safety.  If they had let it go green and someone else had gotten caught up in that wreck and been hurt people would be on here crying how NASCAR just wants a good finish and doesn't care about the safety of the drivers.

Wrecks are a split second thing.  You make a judgment as soon as it happens.  There isn't time to see how it plays out.

  21. Junior said yesterday that they will be alot of backlash on his win. He didn't care. a win is a win, if you don't like it suck it up and deal with it.

  22. When are we going to let this go? Jr won, what is done is done. No sense on living off this for a week like the Busch/Jr incident.

and to answer your question, I'd say no, he deserved that win.

  23. You can call it tainted if you want.  It's not the first or last time that questionable calls by NASCAR have influenced the outcome of a race.

Personally, as a Terry Labonte fan, Dale Earnhardt, Sr.'s win at Bristol (August 28, 1999) was tainted to me.  But he was scored with the win and there's no asterisk in the record books next to his name.

A win is a win, whether it's by fuel mileage, questionable calls, good luck or intervention by the racing gods.

Congratulations to Junior on his win.

  24. He did not deserve the win. He saved fuel, WAY TO GO!

Who deserved that win? The guys who were up front without benefit of fuel mileage playing into it. Guys like Jimmie Johnson, Brian Vickers, Matt Kenseth, and Kasey Kahne.

Jr. didn't deserve this, it was set in his lap and he took it. Let's try not to spoil this victory for his fans, however, as you have seen how long he can go without a win.

The people that should get credit for this win is the NASCAR Officiating crew, and Tony Eury JR.

  25. A win is a win..that's all I have to say..

  26. I have never seen them throw a caution so quick on the last lap, especially for 2 cars that were well out of the way of the racing surface, and on the grass. On the last lap NASCAR usually let's almost anything slide.

And some people will say it's because of safety purposes and debris, but in the 2007 Daytona 500, there was a big wreck on the last lap and Clint Bowyer was upside down and everyone was piling into it, with no caution.

This race there was a wreck on the last lap and the cars slid down into the infield. As soon as the flag man seen it, though, he grabbed the yellow flag. I thought it was a stupid way to end the race, when 9 times out of 10, or should I say 42 times out of 43, they would have let them raced to the line to give the fans what they want...nevermind, in this particular race, that's not what the fans wanted, most of them anyway.

NASCAR did make a lot of stupid calls yesterday, and that was just one of them.

It all went downhill after they threw a caution for a Budweiser can on the apron at the beginning.

I lost some respect for NASCAR yesterday and it seemed like they had that race go the way they wanted. That's my opinion thumbs down it all you want so I know you got the message, but I'm sure if Kyle Busch won a race in that fashion there would have been a riot.

I will say this, however. If it was my favorite driver I wouldn't complain, because it will go down as a win either way, but if I looked at it unbiased I would definetely think something was up, especially with all the crazy stuff that went on. It's not just Non-Junior fans that said this. Kenseth, Vickers, and Kahne were among them and there was a story at nascar.com about it.

  27. I am not a Jr fan but I say he did what he had to do to win  I am not sure where he would have run out of gas if the caution hadn't come out or not but Kahne also had the chance to catch him  when the caution came out and he didn't So congrats Junior Nation maybe it won't be another 75 races

  28. Will everyone just get over it? JUNIOR WON!!! so stop whining about it!!!

but, in the truck race, Ron Hornaday spun to the bottom and got off the track, while Carpentier hit the wall, spun on the track and then eventually went to the grass, so stop whining NASCAR made all the right calls this weekend

  29. Okay there are 43 drivers out there with 43 different cars and 43 different mind sets.  Even NASCAR cannot fix that end.  The Conspiracy theories are treacherous ground and just because Jr. won the haters want to yell cheating or fixing or whatever.
