  1. You can play poker legally on http://www.spadeclub.com. It is sponsored by cardplayer magazine and if you use the code ACESFULL you can get a two week free trial. It pays real cash prizes when you win. They base it on sweepstakes laws.

Pokerstars is legit. I play on there.

You can also play blackjack and poker at http://www.clububt.com, it will show you the prizes that you can play for. It does cost $20 month to join. If you register and enter this code WEC97XUK, it will give you two free weeks on their site. I have a paid membership there and I've won real cash there and they do pay.

Both sites are legal to play at in the USA.

  2. Yes, absolutely legal. You can play there and in other sites that accept USA customers

  3. What you saw was an ad for Pokerstars.net. They get around advertising on TV in the US by putting the .net and then its a "teaching" website. Then when you click on that site it directs you to .com where you can play for real money. And yes its a poker site where you can in the US gamble for real money.

  4. www.pokerstars.com is an offshore site that allows you to play POKER only online. Some of the games they include are Texas Hold Em, Stud, Omaha and 5 Card Poker. They do not have anything but POKER ... So NO blackjack or let it ride. The only way you can really deposit money in there is Moneygram which you can do at any walmart. The money gets there instantly so before you get home the money is already in your account. GOOD LUCK! They also send you a check back if you decide to cash out. =)

  5. There is no federal law that makes gambling at a real money poker site illegal.  There is a bogus law that limits banks' transactions with gambling sites, however.  There is no means of enforcement, and unlikely will be--ever.  For more information about Poker Stars, their deposit and withdrawal methods, as well as tips, bonus codes, and other great articles, check http://poker-lobby.com  Hope this helps!

  6. ``Jacques`` is right although the laws concerning banks and credit cards is a real law although there`s several other ways to deposit.  What happened in a nutshell is that the U.S. government tried to claim online gambling was illegal by way of an old law concerning the use of the telephone and betting and the Supreme Court ruled that this wasn`t applicable to online gambling.  So instead they came up with a new law which prohibited bank transactions and this also managed to scare some sites into not allowing U.S. players but there`s no reason why this isn`t any more than a minor inconvenience.  In fact milllions of Americans continue to gamble online.  If and when this was made illegal which it isn`t really now then Jacques is right again in that it wouldn`t really be enforcable so as the Aussies say no worries mate :)
