Question:

IS running 12 miles 5 times a week mega fit?

Thats my current level built up other time, is this super fit? would you say? id like your views guy

  1. Yeah ok ... that was a very ignorant statement. Granted 12 miles a day and 5 days a week is a lot its not impossible and is not anywhere near the caliber of an Olympic runner. I'm sure any person on this blog/yahoo answer could reach this level of running in just a few years.

  5. you work 6 miles away from home you run to work and back home 5 days a week, well done

    I work 4 miles from home and I walk it somtimes it takes me one hour, but i get the bus home, I would love to jog but i do not have washing and changing rooms at work to clean up after a jog,

  6. You're a fat 12 year old who sits around doing nothing but ask questions on Yahoo! Answers. Clearly, you're just seeking attention. 12 miles a day 5 days a week? That would only be possible by someone who has no job and no life, or an Olympic athlete, which you are not.

  7. I think only you or a doctor can say if it is super fit.  Although that is great for your cardiovascular system.    Keep up the good work.

  8. Well, it means your CV system is pretty good yes, however fitness is a combination of many factors such as flexibility, strength, power, speed, endurance as well as diet, fat levels, general health etc..but yes, you're well on the way, keep going , guy!

    Just remember to take enough recovery, don't overtrain!

  9. I wouldn't say its "super fit".

    By the end of one season of long distance track, most of my team were running 12 miles a day.  A lot of them being freshman too.

    They're in shape but it's nothing "super" because you're expected to be able to run that distance by then.

  12. i would say that you are fit because you do have to be very fit to be able to run 12 miles at any speed. but i would not say that you are super fit because just jogging 12 miles 5 times a week may not give you as much benefit if you were on a mileage plan with speed workouts and long runs and runs at different speeds. you could be overworking your body by just putting in that many miles. i would just tell you to be smart about what you are doing.

  15. Although its impressive, odds are your over training your body. You need to give your body time to recover to fully benefit from training. If you continue this, you'll probably injure yourself.

  17. it depends on how fast you run it. if you are running those 12 miles in 90 minutes or less (give or take) then, yes, you are quite fit. If you are barely jogging though, like 2 hours, then no probably not.
