IS their a way to check the amount of uvb rays in a tank?

Do they have a thermometer or something similar that will tell you how much uvb rays are being extracted into the tank?

You would have to ask your local pet store that carries reptile products.

Yes, there is such a product. Go to google.com and type in "UVB meter" and you will find plenty of info on them and places that sell them.
