IS there Such thing as a Graphic Design Program for after school?

I am looking into being a graphic designer and i was wondering if there was such thing as an after school program in the New Jersey area

  1. If there isn't an after school program in your area, you could contact a graphic design firm or freelance artist (just do a web search in your area) - I'm sure someone would be happy to have you apprentice/intern.

    My husband is a GD and is very talented. I'm so proud of him.  :D


  2. That depends on the colleges and institutions in your area.

    However, Graphic Design can tend to be less difficult to get into that other areas. Skill and a good portfolio can take you further than a degree.

    The degree helps to get you to get a foot in the door of a busy agency and gives you a more rounded understanding of the field from the start. So I do recommend getting a degree.

    The part about after school. Contact local design houses/agencies in your area and see if they would let you work on an unpaid internship basis. You might just end up running things around at first but you can learn the trade first hand. Even if you don't get work while there it can help you get admitted to a good design school if an agency took the time to use you.

  3. Probably. Plenty of high schools have graphic design classes.  

  4. yes their is  my sister  is in graph design  ... u should check ur  collage ask  for info ....  they hould let you know  of other sources for the program  my sister is in the collage as  well as in a private program that gives her hands on experience ut side of school but she found out about her program  when  she contacted a  professor from the collage .....
