is there a yugioh card that stops direct damage to you. such as when toon world is activted ou take 1000 damage how can this be stopped

If you have a water deck, you can use Tornado Wall, " when umi is on the field. damage from attacking monsters become 0." it is a continues trap card.

I do not know of a card that stops direct damage to you from your opponents exept for the typical negation cards[solemn judgement and dark bribe]. For life points you pay to activate a card there is spell economics. This works for cards like toon world and premature burrial. For damage you take from monster attacks spirit barrier and a cloudian will do amaziningly. For damage that you take when a monster is destroyed [aka giant kozaki] you can use skill drain and such to negate it.

If you have mirror force it will work or if the monster only activates effect when it is summon out u can use pulling the rug or divine wraith.
