IS there any Costa Rican Accomplishments????

There literacy rate is above 90%...  true and yet somehow funny considering the question.

Probably the greatest accomplishment made by Costa Rica was in l945 when the government decided to completely disband their military!

They decided to do away with it and take all of that money it would be otherwise spending on it and spend it on their Citizens by giving them better Educations and better Health Care!

As a result of this over 50% of the Costa Ricans speak English as well as Spanish and they have a literacy rate which is the highest in North, Central, and all of South America!

They also have the best and most efficient Health care there and many people from all over the world go to Costa Rica for various types of surgery and dental work which is much less expensive than what we have here in the states!
