  1. It was Ok when I was in, just an upclass Boy Scouts.

  2. Go here and fill yourself in. It's still a very worthwhile organization for teens and young adults to be involved in: http://www.cap.gov/visitors/about/our_pr...

  3. To the atheist...CAP has nothing to do with religion. It is , for our other responder, an organization which is affiliated with the USAF, so of course they would teach about command , order , drill and ceremonies and such. It is a very worthwhile organization and gives youth and adults a way to help their community and learn about aviation at the same time

  4. DILLIGAF is right.

If you want to join the Air Force, it's deffinitely a good place to start.

I wanted to join the Air Force; that's why I joined it.  Then, I found out that the Air Force wouldn't accept me because I was color-blind.  So, I dropped out.  I would have stayed in it, but....

A.) There was something about the formality of it that I found weird (they act like you're actually in the Military; OBEY your higher-ups, stand at attention, wear the uniform like this, march like this, etc.)

B.) Strangely, it was a little too religious for me...(I'm an Atheist)

It's a good place to make new friends, though.

And you get to use guns and fly planes (on occasion).

And there are various "encampments" that you can go to.

So, if you're into that kind of stuff, you'd deffinitely like it.
