I hope it will help out with wrestling at the same time too.

  1. Wrestling does not equal MMA. MMA will not help your Wrestling, Wrestling will help your MMA. 16 years old is too young to be competing in MMA. There has been one case that a fighter had lied about his age to compete though.

  2. You can compete in amateur boxing, wrestling, muay thai and BJJ tournaments.

Just not all of them in the same fight.

  3. Dude even if there was a Amateur MMA promoter in your area bro. you can't fight in a cage legally until you're 18 years old dude in any state where MMA is legal.  You have to sign a waiver form before you even step into that cage man and you have to be 18 to do that even.

Spend the next two years training at a decent school or private MMA institution.

    Good luck.

  4. Hunter, I'm from CT and first off there are no legal CT MMA fights in CT.

If you are really serious about MMA, find a good MMA school and train there.  You'll get plenty of sparring and hard training.  Stay with it for a couple of years and when you turn 18 you'll be ready to compete.

Let me know where you live, I can recommend some good schools in your area.
