Question:

IS there such thing as a perfect circle :P?

is this somehow the essesce of all belief? there is a perfect circle :)

  1. No, because that would mean the distance between any point on the circle and the center of the circle was the same: for instance, precisely 1. But "precisely 1" is 1.000... (an "infinite number" of decimals). But infinity is not a number. Therefore, there is no such thing as "an infinite number". Therefore, there is no such thing as "precisely 1" (or any other number). Therefore, the radius cannot be a precise length. That is, the distance between point A (on the circle) and the center of the circle can never even be the same as itself!

    This may be illogical; but who said logic was the truth?


  2. I think that the circuits that some electrons make around a nucleus is probably a perfect circle. Does this mean it's the essence of anything? You decide that one  ; )

  4. speaking ontologically, yes. As we know, nothing perfect exists within the universe, but the universe itself is perfect. The connection between your body and soul can be seen as a perfect circle in the deep states of meditation.

    I'd recommend the Baghavad Gita, Upanishads, and Advaita Vedanta.
