IS this a scam or misunderstanding?!!

Question

I need help trying to figure out if its really a scam or misunderstanding!

ok today in the mail came a package to my house... and it said my name on it (ok im a 19yr male and i hate cooking ) the package contained a few cookbooks from RACHEL RAYS family cookbook and it said on the bill that i have to pay and that i owe 9 dollars and 73 cents

the company that sent this was .

......DOUBLEDAY BOOK CLUB.....

Phoenix , AZ, 85062

I NEVER ORDERED THIS d**n BOOK

SO what do i have to do to get rid of this problem?

IS IT A SCAM? OR a Misunderstanding on their part?

It says i made the account with them on August 1 ,2008

why da h**l are there so many evil people in the world?

I NEED HELP WAT TO DO PLEASE

Most Definitely call Double Day and tell them that you did NOT open an account with them and that you think you have been the victim of identity theft.  Ask them to please give you instructions on how to return the items.  

Then go to https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/i... and get your free yearly credit report.  Check it thoroughly and make sure that your name has not been used to get other accounts.  

Many criminals are now targeting younger people in identity theft scams b/c they are more likely to get away with it b/c younger people do not check their credit report and/or don't look pay attention to the mail.

just call them...jeesh...is this the Double Day Bookclub boards or what?

you showed try calling them and ask them about the package.if them say that you have made the order you should try your best to solve everything.

I would call them first and ask them how to send the books back as I did not order them and have no need for cookbooks.  Good luck!
