  1. no cocaine is more addictive but tobacco is pretty addictive to i would just stay away from both

  2. its a different kind of addiction.

    and it is different circumstances.

from personal experience, cocaine is more immediately addictive. theres the intense "jones" associated with cocaine...and its more likely to make you feel addicted after the first time you try it. cocaine addition is just much more intense.

nicotine is a mild addiction, when placed next to cocaine. it usually takes longer to get addicted, its not immediately euphoric. its much more acceptable socially to be addicted to cigarettes, so i think that may be a cause for it to make it harder to "break" the habit for some. plus, its prevalant in mainstream society in a way that cocaine isn't/will never be...so that adds to the possibility for relapse. the best thing when trying to quit a drug is to get away from it, you can't get away from cigarettes.

  3. oh god no, not at all

  4. No, cocaine is way more addictive...

but they say that nicotine is harder to quit than heroine...

  5. It's a different SORT of addiction but let me just pass along what I was told by a cardiologist who ran a rehab clinic. Now ... his clinic was geared to help those with ANY substance addictions, i.e. cocaine, nicotine, heroin, even in some cases, caffeine.

He told me that in his 15 years of running the clinic (in New Haven CT) ... the worst to break were the cigarette smokers, every single time.

More ended up being repeat addictions, and more tended toward outwardly aggressive behaviors during withdrawal.

Am I suggesting that cocaine is a less 'strong' substance? That would be folly. But the addiction is of a different type... it's like comparing apples to cookies.

If you do a little research on this ... by way of BOTH biological and psychological studies ... I think you'll find that there is probably a great deal of truth in the fact that people have a tougher time kicking the nicotine habit.

  6. Tobacco isn't. If you're thinking about cigarettes, it's the nicotine in the cigarette that is addictive, not tobacco. I'm not sure about cocaine vs. nicotine...I'm sure it varies from person to person.

  7. *cocaine

    and no, not at all

  8. try both and compare...

  9. It's further along on the continuum. Both serve to dampen emotions people would rather not face, yet have to until their next fix. In addition to the physiological harm from these drugs, is the emotional suppression that, if not healthily addressed, in time seeps out as chronic health problems.
