ISPS announces British Masters for ladies
The Buckinghamshire Golf Club will once again take the initiative of becoming the venue of organising the flagship tournament of Handa Ladies British Masters, which will go into motion from 16th of August, this year.
It is regarded as the haven for female golfers and maintains the reputation of playing a pioneering role for the development and exposure of female golfers.
With the golf world turning auspicious enough for women, there are opportunities being eyed through which valuable talent in the game can be tapped and explored.
Commenting on the new and recent developments, Alexandra Armas, Executive Director of Ladies European Tour said,
“The Ladies European Tour is delighted to be launching this exciting new event at our headquarters in the UK. Located just 20 minutes from central London, the tournament will bring women’s golf right onto the doorstep of the capital just after The Olympic
Games and before the Paralympic Games”.
With a total purse of 300,000 pounds, it is being anticipated that the tournament will be able to attract a competitive line of golf players that will prove quite helpful in modifying and restructuring the visage of golf, especially for females.
According to Golf Director, John O’Leary, the actual recognition for the organisation of the event must be credited to ISPS and Dr. Handa, who have relentlessly invested their efforts to make this a reality.
He also said that all the fans of the sport have their fingers crossed to observe a healthy competition between different golf players of different categories, who will deliver their best performances during the tournament.
Apart from the organising committee, the event has also been hospitably welcomed by the feminine wing of the golfing community.
According to Laura Davies, “I am very happy to be playing in this new tournament and over such a beautiful course as the Buckinghamshire”.
All the other players, apart from Laura, have also expressed their desire to play in the tournament and are excited about the enthralling event that will soon be coming into motion.
Also, this will serve as a valuable platform for all the players to explore novel frontiers of their talent.
