It is abit harsh and abit of a downer although very romantic depends if you both want that sort of rocky tone personally i love it.

Iris is a beautiful song and would be perfect for a wedding.  Black Balloon on the other hand is about a heroin addict - not a good wedding song.

That's a GREAT song to have.  Just make sure you either take dance classes or practice what the dance will be like because that song is a bit hard to dance traditionally to.

NO NO NO!  Just get wed and then go off on your honeymoon.  Receptions etc are so boring for the guests.  I've been to enough of them so I know.

Yes I think its a beautiful song! What matters is that you and your spouse are happy with it and it means something special to you. For my wedding I was thinking of "if" or "hard to concentrate" by the red hot chili peppers, a lil unconventional I know but they are both such beautiful songs. And I wanted something that has not been used a million times.

A song for your first dance is something that means something to the bride and groom so it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. If it's special to the both of you then it's fine.

It is if it has meaning to you. It's a beautiful song! Black Balloon by the Goo Goo Dolls is also a beautiful song to dance to as well; but again, the song should have meaning for you. If it has meaning and makes you guys smile and think of a good memory then that is the song you should dance too.  :)
