I live in nj now and my handicap is about a 2, and I'm really starting to hate this weather. I am about to graduate from college and i will be looking for a job as an assistant pga pro in the Florida area. I was looking at Orlando, but does anyone have any knowledge of good warm cities to make a living for a 20 y.o kid?

  1. Florida, Arizona or Texas seem the obvious choices.

However if you are adventurous and have wanderlust try Australia or South East Asia.

You could also make a lot of money in Japan although the weather is not as good.

  2. Socal, San Diego area, nothing but 75* Temps and tons of golf courses...

  3. Phoenix/Scottsdale?  Tons of courses out there.

  4. I currently live in Miami and golf is beautifull down here. We play 2 - 3 times weekly. Great place for golf.

  5. It all depends on your expierence in the industry. If you have your P.A.T. and are working on your bookwork with the PGA I would suggest trying to find a management company to work for, such as Marriott, Troon, Club Corp., or KSL. These companies will have several courses in all regions of the U.S. and in other golf meccas. Spring is getting closer so I suggest sticking it out, getting more expierence, and interviewing with these companies and looking to move towards the fall. The golf season in Florida and most "tropical desenations" is from late September to mid May.

  6. Orlando is as good a place as any I suppose.....the Palm beach area is also a mecca...
