IT Job in Costa Blanca, Spain?

I'm looking for a contract/casual IT support work in the area.

Can anyone help (point me in the right direction) including other similar IT contractors/programmers - Nr Calpe, Alicante

You can go to the following website www.infojobs.net. It is the top site for job finders in Spain.

You could also go to an "empresa de trabajo temporal" which is a sort of temping agency. There are a few in the Alicante area and you may find some have advisors who speak English.

You could also offer your services as a freelance IT support person. We use a freelance as we are a small company and cannot support the wages of one person solely for IT and this guy seems to be doing pretty well. Our company is in a Spanish town though and this guy is Spanish and I speak Spanish. However, I am sure that there are companies in the Alicante area who are run or owned by people that don't speak Spanish and could do with an English speaking IT person?

If you are good at your job, get your self motivated and advertise yourself locally. People with home computers are always on the lookout for someone who can come and sort out their home p.c at a reasonable fee. I actually live in Benidorm, but my p.c man comes from Calpe to fix ours, he is always obliging and relatively quick, and cheap too so we have given his number to all our friends as he's a great asset. He's not even English, (he's Russian) his English is good and his Spanish is fair too.

It may not be what you want but it can be a start (I see you haven't been here long) it's tough to find work, but if you are good at your job then someone will always need your services. Good luck for the future
