IT related certification......need some advise!!!?

I was going to get started my degree on ITM(information technology management ) very soon, but don't have any experience, someone suggested to me to get some certifications such as A+, C++ etc. to have some idea about IT area, The question is what certification is going to be a good one for me to start with or any any advise, suggestions? thanks for all useful info

I would take an entry level certification course with Cisco. The networking part of being with Cisco really helped me out because I was able to ask all my novice questions in the forums and get a better grip on what I was getting myself into.

It depends what track you want to chose Like c++ is not linked with I.T mangment  but A+ can help to understand computers.
