I want the (ARCHOS 605) but whats your opinion?

I have the 605, what a thing, its good fun, how ever I can tell you its down sides that I have noticed - Using the internet browser is an optional extra, so is watching videos in WMV, you have to pay out extra for it. It as also much larger than the touch, in fact its much larger than anything else.

The final negative is that it has a short battery (but you would expect that from such a large screened mp3, how ever it takes for ever to charge though usb (the only way supplied through the box and about 6-8h), I have a video docking station for mine which speeds it up to around one and a half hours and also lets me watch video though my tv and record of my digibox.

The good sides to it are that sound quality is fantastic, I have it hooked up to my stereo and it sounds fantastic, and video on it is very good also, which are two things that it beats the touch hands down with.

Archos are about to release a few new mp3s in november which pick up on some better style and are a little smaller, if you check archos' web site they show them on there, one of which will replace the 605.

As you can tell, I would go for the Archos, but only because the sound quality is significantly better and it stores more (a am a photographer and when on a shoot back up photos to it from my camera)
