ITS WAR ME VS. ANTS?

I know this should be in cleaing or what not but since you are parents I need the safest way for my kids to get rid of them......ants!

I have freakin ants at frist they started my hallway! Now my living room where my children frequent. (I am trying to do it in a SAFE way for the girls cuz they are 18 months old and still put things in there mouth and they are into and touching everything still. I need a way thats SAFE for them.)I have done the cinnamon. They have found there way around it. They wont cross it but I can't have my living room covered in cinnamon!! somebody HELP!!!!! I AM GOING CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!

Go to Lowes or Home Depot and buy what is called Terro Liquid Ant Baits.  Cut the end of of them and sit them near the ants.  Wait a couple of days and check them often to see if the ants are going there.  If they are, LEAVE them alone and let them do their thing.  That should get rid of them.  I have the same problem.  We are eaten alive with ants at my house.  They get in the kitchen, bathroom, closets, bedrooms, even all in our vehicles!  I have paid exterminators, put out cinnamon, boric acid, demon spray, vinegar, you name it.  Until I tried these baits.  Don't buy the regular solid kind of ant baits, something about the liquid ones did the trick.  They look like water in them but seriously try it!  I put mine up on a counter top and window so my daughter couldn't get to them.  The ants found them!

buy smoke bombs for the house 1 per room and a good poison for the out side

plan a day trip to the park or something

set off bombs, spread poison around the base of the home then have fun for the day

mix some Boric (acid) powder with sugar and water. Soak cotton balls in it. the ants will come for the sugar and take the cotton balls with them to the ant hill. You can wipe out the whole colony that way.

Boric acid is abrasive for insects but safe for mammals.

Just make sure that the kids dont try to eat the cotton balls and choke. But if they are 18 months they should be old enough to understand that.

Make sure that the Boric powder is pure 100% boric powder because if mixed with other chemicals those might be poisonous.

Use a mixture of cinnamon and sugar. The ants will come for the sugar and take the cinnamon too.  Ants cannot digest cinnamon and when they take it back to their queen she will explode after a while and the colony will die out without her.  Cucumber peels also have the same effect as the cinnamon.  Either one is safe to use indoors or around animals.  Hope this helps!
