ITUNES HELP NEEDED! (didn't get answered yesterday)

Okay, yesterday I had to restore my iPod because it wasn't able to sync.

After I did that and the iPod automatically added my songs back on, I changed my settings to "manually manage music"

Later I tried to put new songs on, only to find that the music link was missing under devices. It looks like this:

Devices

KATHY'S IPOD.

No music, movies, or tv shows link. The arrow on the side that would normally unhide those things doesn't go down, it only goes up. And when i click that my ipod disappears on the devices list. Now i can't add, delete, or view music that I have on my ipod.

PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE help.
