ITouch Wi-Fi setup? I can't get internet to work on iPod touch?

I finally got my network set up. My network shows my Ipod Touch as being connected, I also have signed on my network with the Touch, but when I try to surf it takes forever to do anything and then I get the message Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding. Can someone give me some help? I don't know if there are any other settings I need to change.

i have an iTouch too and i had the same problem. just make sure your network is stable and secure that happens sometimes, if its not a good network. if that dosent work then use another network. also make sure the wifi is on.

and the slowness...thats just how all itouches are mine is slow too

There may be a problem with your wireless router or with your internet connection. Check to see if other devices on your network are doing okay, and see if it's just the iPod itself.
