ITunes CD importing help please???

i have a playlist on iTunes, about 20 songs. i put a blank CD-R in the computer, and i clicked burn disc. the space at the top of iTunes says "Checking media...." for a minute or so, then it turns back to the Apple logo, and nothing happens.

what happened, and what should i do? i tried manually copying the files on the CD, and the CD importing wizard asked for a blank CD. so i put the same CD in, and i pressed next, but it wouldn't go. it still asked for a blank CD.

is it something wrong with the type of CD? i used a CD-R. it worked fine in the past. should i get CD-RW? i asked someone, and he said that it was a computer problem, not a CD problem.

what shoul i do?

  1. first you need to check what drive you put your CD into and make sure it has CD writing capabilities. then try again and if it doesn't work try the CD-RW, although i did just try it with a CD-R and it worked just fine. hope this helps.

  2. your computer might have a problem or you might have allready used that CD so try another one just to be sure
