Hi.

I'm having trouble with my iTunes Store lately.

When I open my iTunes Store, there's an error message displaying: "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store. The network connection was reset. Make sure your network connection is active and try again."

My internet connection is working perfectly fine (I'm on Yahoo Answers :]). I've cleared my DNS, temporarily disabled my firewall...

Here is what I get when I run the diagnostics:

**

Network connectivity:

Network interfaces verified

iTunes Store Connectivity:

Internet connection verified

Secure link to iTunes verified

**

That's confusing...on diagnostics it says iTunes store connection is perfectly fine yet I can't go on iTunes store.

PLEASE HELP!!

thank you guys SO MUCH :]

xx

  1. Try re-enabling your firewall and then forwarding port 3689 both udp and tcp on both your firewall and on your router (if you have one) . Then reboot your computer and try again. If that doesn't work it could always be an issue with the itunes server or problem with your internet. If worst comes to worst, I'd re-install itunes.

  2. I am having the exact same problem. Also, since I have heard of others that are to, I am inclined to think its apple's problem, not ours. Or so I hope because I can't even begin to fathom how to fix this.

  3. your ports to download are probably not open go to port-forward.com

  4. I would say maybe the site is having temporary issues. I would wait a little while and try again later. Then if it still isn't working you will have to dig deeper.

  5. It's not itunes. Either your internet is not working right, or there is a problem with the comp;

  6. hmm... i think you go LAN>propeties>advanced (tab)>settings>exceptions(tab) and make sure itunes is ticked in the list...

can you listen to the radio on itunes?

  7. Are you doing anything else besides iTunes? (Doesnt exactly have to be p**n. lol, jks.) On the serious side, if you're downloading other things, it would take up the bandwith of your net and that would slow down the download of itunes, and I'm pretty sure thats theres a thing in it that cuts off the connection if it takes to long to load.

Hope it helps. sorry if it doesnt. =/

  8. I had a similar problem and then I stopped using I tunes.
