Question:

ITunes album grouping help?

I have a number of songs by the same artist and all of them are on the same album. But, a few of them are separated into different groups rather than all being under one common album. I've tried EVERYTHING to group them back together. I checked the artist name, the album name, the track number, etc. Any help?

  1. Select the entire album (select first song, press and hold shift key, then select last song). Right-click on that selection and click Get Info. This will allow you to edit information for the entire album.

First, make sure that artist name and album name aren't blank. If they are, there's a discrepancy somewhere in the name. Often, it is spelling, but it can also be extra spaces or capitalization.

If the name is consistent or it's still splitting up the album, enter the number of tracks in the second space of the Track Number field and enter '1' in each of the Disc Number fields.

  2. Okay,First you have to check EVERY LITTLE DETAIL:You can't put in a comma or a dot of the artist's song and then in another song(of the same artist)you leave as it is or just put it's name in caps...

    In easier terms:

Artist,Album,Genre, they all have to be exactly the same in every song,if you do that then every song has to appear in the same album. If you change even a letter that song will appear somewhere else.

    Example:

if you put Steve Vai as the song's artist and then you put steve Vai in another song that is in the same album,it's going to put it somewhere else because you changed:

    Steve Vai to steve Vai.

I hope this helps you, becuase I've been there
