ITunes movie rentals?

okay, i am planning on renting a movie off itunes to put on my ipod, but how does that work? Do you get 24hrs. from the time u buy it, or from the first time you watch it??? Plz explain what happens

When you rent it, you have 30 days to watch it, when you start to watch it, you have 24 hours to finish it.  Hope that helps.
