ITunes question about pre-orders?

I want to buy Metallica's new album "Death Magnetic" when it comes out on the 12th next month, but I'm not sure how things like pre-orders work since I've never tried to do them before.

There is a single out now for the album. I want to buy it but what about later? If I get the single and then the album later do I have to get the same song twice if I buy the whole album afterwards?

Or if I buy the single first, is the price for it subtracted from the album afterwards so I don't pay for it twice?

Let me know anything you can about the process. Money is tight so I don't have the money to buy anything twice out of frustration.

u will get the song twice if u buy the single and then the album. the price wont be subtracted
