IVE JUST PRESSED A LINK ON HERE AND A BIG TROJAN WARNING CAME ON MY COMPUTER WHAT IS IT AND HOW DO I GET RID F IT ???? WHATS A TROJAN

I wish people would get their facts right. A trojan is not a virus, it's a program that loads it's self on and executes it's self. This is the correct definition of a trojan.

A Trojan refers to a program that appears as something you may think is safe, but hidden inside is usually something harmful, probably a worm or a virus. The lure of Trojans is that you may download a game or a picture, thinking it's harmless, but once you execute this file (run it), the worm or virus gets to work. Sometimes they will only do things to annoy you, but usually a worm or virus will cause damage to your system.

If your AV is any good as well as giving you a warning it should have quarantined it. You should find in the AV's vault or what ever it calls it. If it's in there delete it.

WHATS A TROJAN? WHY NOT GOOGLE FOR IT. TROJANS DON'T NORMALLY TELL YOU THEY'RE INSIDE OTHERWISE WHAT WOULD BE THE POINT. MAYBE IT WAS AN AD FROM A COMPANY WANTING YOU TO TRY SECURITY OR ANTI-VIRUS SOFTWARE? WHY ARE WE SHOUTING?

If you have a anti virus protection, Scan your computer and delete some stuff you haven't seen recently on your computer.

Download and install Spyware Doctor..that should get rid of it. I recommend also, McAfee site Advisor..it actually tells you which sites can harm your computer before you even go to them. If you're stubborn however, and go anyway..it'll redirect you to a safer page =)

first a trojan is NOT  a virus it's a Trojan and they do two different things

what you have is most likely a smitfraud . do a yahoo search for

combofix.exe

i did that,it wasnt a trojan but it crashed my computer!..a trojan is a virus..i just looked at your answer as your q and a's are private,it's the same q i answered! with a virus attached!
