IVF question for those who've gone thru it or know someone who has..?

Question

Less than one week until we find out the results of our first attempt at IVF..Not having really any symptoms..so I was curious for those who've went thru IVF and it worked, did you have symptoms or did you have a feeling it worked or vice versa..

Hi There!

I have gone through IVF once and got a BFP on the first try!!!  I knew I was pregnant because I felt the implantation.  On the day that I went to take my test, I had morning sickness, which all but confirmed it for me!  Since then, I've had MS about 7 times and can't wait to have my next U/S to find out exactly how many since I was told that possibly one of my eggs split on its own!!  WOW!! So I'm definitely pregnant.. now the question is with 2 or 3??  God is GOOD!!

A friend of mine was on IVF she had no idea she was pregnant til she went doctors to get it confirm that all went well,i guess it just depends on the pregnant woman herself everyone is different,i had pregnancy symptoms 1 week before my due period,i hope this has helped and good luck.

Hey there! I went through IVF twice, and acutally just got by BFP on Wednesday! The first time I felt nothing, acutally I had a horrible nagging feeling like AF was coming. Really felt like I was going to start any day (I always got strong pms symptoms) and I just knew.  Went for my bt and it was a BFN.  This time around, it was different in the fact that I really didn't feel too much. I had really tender b*****s both times (due to the progesterone shots) but I never got the feeling AF was near.  It really is the worst 2ww to go through! A few days before my bt, I kinda had a feeling it worked, but I really based that on the fact that I wasn't feeling any pms symptoms. ( my AF is really regular) The problem is, though is that pregnancy symptoms are somewhat the same, so really, don't beat yourself up with anything you're feeling or may not be feeling.  From what I've read, everyone is different, so just try to keep yourself relaxed and calm.  I know how hard it is!!

Hi there,

I am 17 Weeks Pregnant, I got my BFP on my second attempt.

Try not to look too much into symptoms, everyone is different and the wait is hard enough (I had to wait 3 weeks!) without thinking that it has failed because you don't feel thinks what others have.

As for myself, I got implantation bleeding (just a few tiny dots) on day 9 (9 days after my egg collection) and I had my embryos transferred 2 days after my collection. If you don't get any however, do not worry too much as everyone is different!

I needed to go to the toilet alot but apart from that didn't really get any other symptoms.

Try to do things to keep your mind off it, because it really does consume your life having to wait so long to find out if it has worked!

I just kept telling myself... If I do fall pregnant it will be a dream come true but if I don't I will just keep trying until I do.

Basically I remained positive, but in a way I was also protecting myself from the heartbreak I felt when my first cycle failed.

I had to keep telling myself this as it was very hard for me after my first cycle failed, especially due to the fact that I am only 20 years old ... all the staff and nurses at my clinic were convinced that I would be successful on my first attempt due to my age, they also convinced me making it all the more harder for me to accept it when it failed (I did not make it to my blood test).

So even the fact that you have made it this far is a good thing and hopefully the week will fly for you!!!
