Question:

IVF.....to be brave for the next step?

My next step is IVF (i have PCOS) hubby is healthy.

We have one free try on the NHS, then after that we pay. I have money (that i saved for a rainy day when i was a kid) that will pay for that round, if that fails we'll get a loan.

However there are some hospitals that offer free IVF, however you need to give away your eggs in return to help others.

Would you be brave enough? I know if its something you want, its something to sacrifice...

what is the going success rates at the moment...?

I am with barts hospital london

thank you girlies

  1. Hi I'm also with Barts Hospital in London. Aren't you supposed to get 3 tries. I received my letter stating that I get 3 tries and also when I went for the consultation the Dr also confirmed it. I am on the waiting list since July last month and they said it takes about 3 to 4 months. How long have you been waiting.

Also what I don't get is why you are having ivf because of pcos. You are only meant to be given clomid to release eggs unless there is something else wrong. I also have pcos but having ivf with icsi coz hubby has low sperm count and motility.

And no I wouldn't be able to give out my eggs as I wud always wonder if I have other children in the world and I always think it is scary to think that your kids could meet up in the future and have a relationship and not know that they are siblings.
