IWork 08 question plzz help?

Hey im thinking of getting iWork 08 but i really want to know one thing for example if ur using keynote and you make a presentation and you export it to a ppt file which is powerpoint will everything stay the same like font, transitions, animations, etc. I need to know cause my High School uses powerpoint instead of keynote and im afraid that if i buy keynote and then make a presentation it will be all screwed up. I really dont have the money to buy office mac 08 thats why i need to know this about iWork. Plz help. Im begging you plzzzzzzz.

use OpenOffice -- for free:www.openoffice.org

on your mac  use openoffice to MIMIC powerpoint.

OpenOffice mimics ms office it you need it to do so.

I have Keynote on my Mac and made a superb presentation for science class. Now because I ALWAYS always always test stuff out before handing it in, I made sure everything worked 3 days before. The problem I ran into is that PowerPoint would go to the next slide, show an hour glass and then immediately go back to the beginning- almost instantly.

This really frusterated me as I thought it was something wrong with one of the slides having an incorrect link to another one (because I used buttons and disallowed using arrows). But it wasn't. I spent an entire free period (81 minutes) fiddling with PowerPoint settings and finally got it to work.

If it is just a regular Power Point everything should work fine. Mine was a little advanced with all the links and buttons so that could have been why it was weird. Otherwise I've had no problems.

Animations will NOT all be the same. It will substitute the most Mac-like transitions and animations to a windows equivalent.
