  1. Most jockeys have to go to school now to become one.

There are several schools. One in KY run by a former jockey and one in Alberta Canada.

They have great placement rates at these schools.

Other than that you can learn by working on the backside and working your way up but that would be rare these days.

  2. the heighth is questionable, weight is ok, could be less..... good luck

  3. The weight limit to be a jockey is 115 but there is no height limit. So you'll be fine if you don't get any heavier.

  4. no. usually they grow up in the sport. i think you are too tall

  5. Quite Possibly A Camel Jockey

  6. you know how to ride a horse?? what side do you mount, when do you take the bit out, how much does a mclennan saddle weigh.

why dont you  going to a real racetrck, see what its like . some jockeys make big $$$ if they win.,  others don't , good luck.

  7. No. You would need to weigh just under 100 lbs. Here's why: When you start out as a jockey, you are given a 10 lbs allowance, later 7 lbs, and a 5 lb  allowance your entire first year as an apprentice.  Most races have "conditions" which give weight off for not having won races during a specified period of time, or a lower "price" in claiming races.  Height is not a big concern, just that you are proportional with your weight.

  8. lol yeah... then call me haha jk...whats a jockey

  9. i'm not sure about the height but most jockeys weigh under 100lbs.

  10. If you race Clydesdales

  11. yeah of course
