  1. Perth is not too hot.........you will get used to it trust me. i Work in hotter countries ok!

  2. Nope it's your normal 9-5 style job.  And it's HOT.  Very hard to work in that sort of heat..

  3. Most builders take December-January for their holidays (leave) period, so you miss some weeks of summer anyway.

It's not a 9 to 5 job, but there are regulations about noise when you're working in residential areas.  Generally speaking, you can't start before 7am if there are already people living the street where you're working.

People living on either side of me are "tradies" who leave home around 6am-6.30am and get home 3pm.  Don't worry - the sun's already up!

  4. It's as hot as blazes in summer, so you start as early as you can during the heat and finish up by the time your about to kark it from heat stroke. Stay out of the sun and drink a lot of water.

  5. Our pollies have introduced daylight saving in Perth during the summer months (despite what the general public wants) and so 6 a.m is now 5am so as a tradie you would be starting a lot earlier than the rest of us and finishing probably by 4pm (the old 3pm)  Perth has about two weeks of really hot days but dry hot, not like Singapore or the equatorial countries - great beach weather when you're not working - and we have the beaches - and the space - come on down
