Hostels are nice places to stay, you meet people and you can sleep for much less than you would pay in a hotel.

In many hostels you can stay in single rooms too, but then you do pay more, almost as much as in a cheap hotel.

But in a hostel you can almost always make your own dinner, that way saving a lot of money. In hotels they do not like it when you do that.

There is no reason to be afraid of hostels, but if you have stayed in one and  you do not like it, nobody will force you to stay in a second one.

But do not watch that silly movie, that had nothing to do with real hostels. You would also not watch a movie about a plane crash just before flying.

ur afraid because of the ragging happening or due to some other reason...trust me dont be afraid..If its because of ragging then dont be afraid..thats the way of life....it goes on in  circles..today u would be ragged, the next day someone wud be ragged by u!..so dont worry..go ahead and enjoy the hostel life..theres nothin like it!!....these are some of ur experiences in life that u wont ever experience later on in ur life...
