  1. The people in the Mathematics section are some of the nicest nerds you'll ever meet. I've gotten help from them in the past.

No offense, but is English your first language?

  2. If you are doing online school, then contact the school. They will be able to help you.

If you are doing home study, then you need to set up a time to meet with a teacher from the school.

If your parents are the ones deciding your curriculum, you need to discuss it with them and perhaps find a different curriculum.

If none of that applies or works, find yourself a tutor.

  3. Sad.  It appears homeschooling is failing our kids as much as the public schools.

  4. If you're having a hard time in a subject and your parents can't help, they need to hire someone who can.  You need to let them know that you're struggling and need extra help with this.  The benefit of homeschooling is that you can get one-on-one attention, so take advantage of it.

  5. EDIT: I meant no harm, Marie.  I was trying to get more information and obviously picked up on some bad manners when reading other replies. If you have a particular problem you need help with, like how to work with a formula or how to solve a word problem issue, just post it here or email me. I'm here to help if you'll let me know the problem.  S.

  6. You should have been in public school all along. Your teachers could have helped you with this, and all your other questions. You probably are socially and educationally behind your peers now.

  7. Math is really important - don't try to find a way to avoid it.

Can your parents help? If not I think you have to find someone who can - maybe a tutor just for a couple of sessions. Or do you know anyone your age or a bit older who you could work through  some of the problems with? Two heads are often better than one...

  8. I agree with glurpy and get yourself a tutor. I have struggled with Math all my life even in a real school. Math is not an easy subject and not many teachers have the patience to teach their students.  Good luck.
